Melior Esse is a leadership development consultancy led by Vince Hannant, supporting owners, CEOs and senior leaders to build stronger leadership capability, clearer ownership, and more consistent performance across their organisations.

Melior Esse initially came to Big Reputation for a marketing plan. Early conversations made it clear that the business needed stronger foundations first, including a sharper brand strategy, clearer positioning, and a website experience that felt like the first ten minutes of speaking to Vince: calm, warm, thoughtful, and quietly confident.

Melior Esse needed more than a set of marketing tactics. The priority was to define what the brand stands for, who it is for, and how it should feel, so every future decision would be easier and more consistent.

We facilitated a brand strategy workshop to capture Vince’s beliefs, ways of working, and the outcomes clients are really buying, then translated that into a complete strategy framework, including purpose, mission, vision, values, audience, personality and positioning.

As part of this, we refined the brand positioning so it led with outcomes and ownership, rather than listing products. This enabled Vince to clarify the two pathways for the website: Developing your people and Developing your business.

Once the strategy was clear, we focused on translating it into a brand that felt distinct and premium.

We defined Melior Esse’s tone and personality, including archetype direction, and created messaging that felt calm and inviting while still being direct and high accountability. We refined the core values into clear, design-friendly statements that could be showcased visually on the About page and used internally as standards for how the business works.

We also developed the visual direction, starting with the design of a logo with a stylised typeface and an icon showing a progression of change, with an overlap, showing the transition in coaching leadership.

After a few colour iterations with the client, we paid close attention to the usability of the colours and how they can be used together. Each colour was chosen with accessibility in mind, so when used on marketing materials and on the website, there were no restrictions which would impact readability.
Finally we produced strapline options aligned to the new brand direction, focusing on clarity, ownership, and outcomes, rather than generic leadership language.

With the strategy and brand foundations in place, we moved into marketing delivery designed to support high-value conversations and generate the right enquiries.

Initially, we produced a full marketing plan for Melior Esse, setting clear priorities, recommended channels, and a practical roadmap that aligned to Vince’s relationship-led approach. The plan focused on attracting decision-makers through credibility, clarity, and outcomes, rather than relying on SEO-heavy tactics or volume-led lead generation.

From there, we translated the plan into the new marketing materials. We supported Vince’s chosen development partner, Liruss, with a lean five-page structure that avoided a product-brochure feel and instead created a premium, conversation-led experience. Our part in this was the full website copy for Home, About, Developing your people, Developing your business, and Contact, with one consistent call to action throughout.

Melior Esse now has a clear strategic foundation, a defined brand voice, and a new website with narrative that reflects Vince’s real presence. The messaging moves away from explaining services and towards communicating outcomes, ownership, and calm authority, making it easier for the right clients to recognise fit and take the next step.
